This place is amazing! Food is fresh, clean and delicious. Delivery is FAST! Prices are beyond reasonable. Try the sassafras tea, the crawfish dumpling soup, peashoot and garlic dumplngs and the lobster sandwich. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu.....

I ordered here for the first time and was underwhelmed by the freshness of the items. It was obvious that all their items are prepared & refrigerated many days in advance. Lobster & Mango Summer Rolls: truly tasteless, the rice wrap was super hard, lobster was weird. Even the mango itself tasted like nothing. Probably 3 days old. Japanese Eggplant: disgusting we didn't touch this one. Thing of japanese eggplant not cooked through so they are still leathery yet wilted in a special soy sauce that happens to have no taste. Then refrigerated for a week so they become solid and cardboardy. I'd give this 5-6 days old. Miso-Glazed Salmon Plate: this one was actually ok, and I always like seeing a brown rice option. The enjoyment was definitely diminished by seeing the quality of our appetizers. Didn't give the impression it had just been prepared but it at least it was acceptable. I'd say just 1 day old. Tofu & Buckwheat Noodles Salad: acceptable as well. I don't know if their food is always like this but when I ordered it felt like I got old leftovers from the fridge. There was a definite lack of quality and taste. On the plus side, delivery was almost instantaneous despite the fact that I don't live nearby.

Consistently delicious food. I'm hooked on the miso salmon! I found the Vietnamese rolls good, but they were mostly filled with lettuce and therefore not the best value.

Mooncake is a go-to restaurant in our office for lunch. The food comes within 15 minutes usually, the salmon plate and sandwich are excellently flavored, the steak salad is tasty if a bit overcooked. Love this place.

Very quick delivery! I went with the highest rates stuff and ordered the miso salmon and key lime pie. The salmon was soso but ok for the price. I wouldn't order it again. The key lime pie though was VERY good! It is more mousse-like in texture than normal key lime but I liked it a lot. I'll give mooncake another try but order a different entree.

LOVE their Vietnamese Summer Rolls, they are delicious. Service is great, I order from them all the time. Last comment about poor service is nuts, and based on one experience--mix ups happen--people need to deal.

Terrible experience. They confirmed and then lost the order. They never bothered to call and let us know... We called twice and they were full of excuses. Garbage service all around. Avoid this place completely.

I wish there were more stars to compliment this restaurant, I ordered less than 20 minutes ago and it is here. Too boot, the delivery man was adorable and friendly, the food is knocking my socks off (pea shoot and garlic dumplings and pea shoot and garlic soup), and the prices are great. ORDER HERE!

This place used to be on of our go-tos... as it always tasted fresh, healthy and fillings. However, the last few times has been a different story: the food tastes "off" and the delivery man is extremely unpleasant.

Ordered the lobster tail special with a side of asparagus. The asparagus was very bitter and inedible, and the lobster tail was mostly flavorless. Delivery however was prompt and friendly.

Great place for asian-fusion food. Actually the only "fusion" part is rice and salad with ginger dressing, but still a great inexpensive place.

Food generally isn't bad, but be prepared to wait. If the delivery estimate is 25-40 minutes, it usually takes at least 90 minutes.

Horrible experience. My lunch delivery came 2 hours after placing the order. Considering I ordered a simple salad and live a few blocks away, this seems completely ridiculous. I called twice to inquire about the progress of my order and the woman wrongly promised it was only 15 minutes away. And rather than a simple apology or offering to deliver my little salad without charge, the woman ranted on the phone about it being a really busy day. Hire some more people!! Or get your kitchen under control. Poor delivery man came panting with his hands full of orders. Lateness aside, such a rude reaction makes me never want to deal with these people again.

MY ABSOLUTE FAVORITE!!!! This is always an amazing meal. I always order The Miso Glazed Salmon Plate and The Sliced Steak Plate. The sauces that they come with are so flavorful and fresh. I have had the crawfish dumplings and was not wowed by them. The noodle and wonton soups are wonderful and fantastic on cold cozy days/nights in NYC.

The grilled plates here (chicken and steak I've had) are both delicious and come with a very nice hot sauce. Portions are a decent size, big enough to make you full.

The prices are excellent consider the quality and quantity of food you receive. All the "plates" (pork chops, salmon, chicken, short ribs) we've tried have been delicious. The green spicy sauce is also a nice complement and adds heat to cut some of the sweetness in the marinades. I'm so glad they deliver all the way down to Lower Manhattan!

This is one of my favorite places and I was happily surprised that they are par of the Seamless Web family. Every item I've tried on their ecclectic menu has been a winner. One of my faves is the Spicy Thai Steak Salad. I love the fresh citrus dressing, and it's fat-free! Anothr plus. I also love the Miso Glazed Salmon - salad or plate. Very good! Delivery time is always way less than what's stated in my confirmation email. Mookcake's will forever be one of my top choices.

Extremely fast delivery done consistently. I usually get my order within 10-15 minutes and the place is NOT within normal walking distance. Extremely generous serving sizes as well even for a guy, so there are always leftovers. Price is very reasonable and the food is good, but not exceptional. I'll continue to order from Mooncake regularly.

Food quality is good, however price is a little bit on the expensive side for lunch. I hope they can reduce the price by a little bit so that more people could enjoy it. I tried their lunch combinations a couple times before. Generally, you can find better places out there, however they do provide some unique menus that are different than others. Their delivery time has also been pretty fast. I would order here again, and hopefully they reduce the price by that time :)

this place is seriously the best- such fresh ingredients, wonderful fusion of vietnamese and continental food. really reliable delivery and if they're out of something, they call you to suggest an alternative, instead of just leaving it off.

The desserts are fantastic (white mousse cake and chocolate chaos cake). However the edamame was overcooked and of really poor quality. I ended up throwing away the Lobster & Mango Summer Roll after one bite as I'm pretty certain the lobster was spoiled. On top of it all, the delivery took a really long time.

Awesome and healthy asian-inspired food! The salmon with green spicy sauce is amazing, as is the steak dish. I am also a huge fan of the wonton noodle soup but be aware it is a huge portion-- comes in a small bucket size container!

Well, I can't really rate the food because it never came. After waiting over an hour, I called, and they said their "computers were down." I asked if they'd received my order...and they had. Um, thought your computers were down?? Asked when they would deliver and the woman said she'd call me back in 2 minutes with a time. Waited 15 minutes - no call. I finally called Seamless and had them cancel the transaction. When they contacted Mooncake, the restaurant LIED and said that I'd picked up the food in person. Not true at all. Never ever ever again will I deal with this restaurant.

this place is all about the sauces. can't really go wrong here. original review - 5 stars. i'm downgrading by 2 stars because they've been over 90 min delivery time the last three times i've ordered. and they raised the prices.

Horrible delivery service, its been an hour and no food. NEVER order from here. When I called them, they couldn't locate my order. Unorganized, inefficient, and the guy at the restaurant hung up on me when I called to inquire. STAY AWAY!

After waiting more than an hour and twenty minutes, for my food I got the wrong order. I ordered steak with white rice, instead I got salmon and brown rice, which I don't eat. I called and asked for a refund and still waiting. Great food, but not in rush hour.

I wouldn't order the grilled chicken plate again. It was fine but unspectacular. The food seems healthy enough, but the salad got wet and wilted very quickly, and everything was just...fine. Not bad, but not great.

I placed the order online at 11am for a 12:15 delivery. I called to confirm at 12:10 since I never received the email confirmation. Yes, they had gotten the order and it was 'on the way.' They delivered 7 out of 10 items at 12:35. After calling and convincing the lady on the phone that they made a mistake (not an easy task - was put on hold four times), it took 65 more minutes to bring the second part of our order. They are only 2/10ths of a mile from our office. I should have just gone to the restaurant, ordered in person and waited there for it. My office gets lunch every week and I will be taking these guys out of our rotation. It's too bad since the food is always decent.

Service was very fast, 20 minutes or so. The summer rolls (4 pieces) were well stuffed with shrimp and leafy greens, and the hoisin sauce was good. I also got the shanghai wonton soup with noodles. There were 8-10 wontons in the soup (a lot!) and they were really meaty, but for some reason the wonton wrappers had completely fallen apart in the soup, even though delivery was extremely fast. So by the end I was just eating little balls of meat and pieces of wonton wrapper... not good. Still, I think I might have been unlucky, and next time I'll try something different. 3.5 stars

It tasted OK at the time, but now I am feeling pretty sick to my stomach. The dumplings in the soup were wonky tasting and the thai steak salad had way too much dressing.

I ordered from Mooncake Foods for the first time and was thoroughly impressed. Delivery to Wall St was much faster than indicated on Seamless and my soup and salad arrived still steaming hot. The food was tasty, not-at-all greasy and very filling. I will be ordering from Mooncake many more times in the future.

Awful! I thought I would give this place a go with the high ratings but the food was awful. The grilled asparagus was completely covered in course black pepper, the buckwheat noodle salad was way too salty too eat, the grilled chicken plate was marinated in a soy sauce (wasn't described as marinated) and again salty. The seasoning is very heavy-handed. Totally uneatable.

I suspected that it was not going to be great when it showed up less than 12 minutes after the order went through, and I was right, what a disappointment today. The Lobster/Mango Summer Rolls were a mushy mess, and there was hardly a trace of lobster to be found. The Chicken Buckwheat Salad has been good in the past, but today, it was also an over-dressed mushy mess. Sorry guys, I think this may have been my last order.

SeamlessWeb gave me an error stating the order did not go through. So I re-ordered. They delivered both EXACT orders placed 2 minutes a part. When they got here I politely said I do not want one of the orders, they insisted and left it at my door. So Rude. Seamless was nice about it though. They said they were surprised and restaurants normally just take one order back with them.

Food gets 3.5 stars in general. However, it took 2hrs to receive my order of wonton soup and cold jicama spring rolls. I called twice and all I was told was that they were busy and that they were far away. I got no acknowledgement that while ordering my lunch at 12:50 I received it at 3pm. To top it off, the delivery guy called me to yell at me for not being able to find the building, and then when he came up was all huffy with our receptionist. The food arrived cold but it was edible, and the experience as a whole was astonishing. Unless, you are VERY close to their location, do not order delivery. They should decrease their delivery area since I'm seeing a lot of similar reviews on seamless web.

Wow. Totally disappointed. Order time on the email said 25 to 40 mins. After an hour, I called to ask about order. "That one went out some time ago..." was the response. Well, um, ok, but it's NOT HERE yet. She didn't seem too interested in finding out where the food or delivery person was, either. Great. Thanks for such outstanding customer service. <smirk> Not only that, but now my boss is mad at me for his rip-off seared tuna salad. "The four smallest, thinnest pieces of seared tuna on some greens and ONE cherry tomato. For $9?" Never gonna order from here again, that's for sure. What a complete and total let down. (But the salmon on my salad tasted good, so I do have to give 'em a star for that!) Bottom line: If you want an overpriced bed of lettuce that takes too long to show up, then this is your kinda place. Enjoy!

this place has gone completely downhill. many dishes arrive completely inedible and the service in response is terrible (except for the nice delivery people). we keep ordering because it used to be quite good, but it just isnt worth trying anymore.

Mooncake KIlls. They make amazing food, the steak sandwich is the ultimate. Also a friend ordered the whitefish sandwich, and I am afraid that he is now addicted. He secretly comes back to Tribeca just to enjoy it.

Food was okay ! portions are tiny ..don't think i'll order from here again , yo just don't get enought food for what you pay for . I got the chicken curry and there was literaly only 4 tiny pieces of chicken in the dish .

Last week I first tried Mooncake's Miso glazed salmon, and fell in love (with value & quality), so I ordered again today, and the taste was inconsistent. It was rather bland, missing out on the deeper miso flavor I've tasted before. Anyhow delivery is super quick and the freshness of ingredients make this place on my top list here.

When I ordered the 'Tuna Burger' I was expecting a nice slab of tuna meat on a sesame seed bun, especially since they ask you what temperature you'd like your meat to be cooked. I chose RARE. My Tuna Burger was in fact not a slab of tuna meat, red through the center since I asked for it rare, but more resembled the consistency of a veggie burger, cooked all the way through - definitely well-done. DO NOT GET the Tuna Burger - it's not what you expect and it's not good. Delivery time was less than expected. The delivery boy yelled at me on the phone. Overall experience: 1.5 STARS.

never get delivery at work, only at home - the owners are delightful and the cozy atmosphere is really hospitable and communitarian...but delivery is consistently slow, arrives stone-cold, and nevertheless heats up well...like i said, only order delivery if you can reheat in your oven or toaster. this food is too good for microwaves.
